Renaming Bluetooth devices is a quick and simple way to add personalization and facilitate easier searching for them. Renaming AirPods can even be done on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and non-Apple devices – the process is quick and painless!

Before getting started, ensure your AirPods are connected to an iPhone and have enough battery life – otherwise, the renaming feature won’t appear! To start, open Settings on your iPhone and select Bluetooth category; tap the blue information icon next to earbuds, then tap the blue information icon again next to them for accessing the rename option; press I button to enter a new name, then tap Done; the name will now appear across all iOS devices as well as computers or tablets when connecting via Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, Android and Chromebook users do not have access to Apple’s AirPods Renaming feature; however, you can manually change their local name by opening their case near a phone and navigating to Settings > Bluetooth, tapping on their respective I icons, then choosing a character from a drop-down list, replacing their old name with your preferred option and tapping Save Changes when finished.

If your AirPods’ local name doesn’t change after performing a factory reset (Settings > Bluetooth > Forget This Device), attempt re-pairing them with either your iPhone or another compatible device (and if that still doesn’t display), then contact Apple support so they can assist with fixing this problem.

AirPods are popular wireless earbuds that deliver top-quality audio while featuring convenient features like live listening and hands-free controls. Furthermore, they have fantastic and valuable capabilities to enhance everyday life, such as connecting to Siri using voice assistant technology and sharing music between devices. However, some people struggle with renaming their AirPods on their device or understanding its other features.

By default, AirPods take on the name of whatever device they are paired with, and this can be not very clear if you use multiple Apple products frequently or need to differentiate two sets of AirPods in your Bluetooth device list. Luckily, you can overcome this obstacle with just a few easy steps that allow you to rename AirPods on any device.

First, ensure your AirPods are charged and ready to use before opening the Settings app on your iOS device and selecting Bluetooth. On the next page, you will see a list of paired devices; clicking the i icon next to your AirPods will open more options, including changing their name – this name will then appear across devices and platforms where they have been connected.

Name your AirPods before adding them to your device list on any Windows computer! Doing so won’t affect their functionality; rather it can help distinguish them from similar devices and make them easier to find in your list. Simply follow these steps:

Your AirPods can be easily renamed on any iOS device, whether AirPods Pro or the original AirPods. Simply remove them from their case before opening the Settings app on that particular device to rename them – tapping “Bluetooth,” selecting the i icon, and finally clicking on their AirPods that need changing!

Android

Apple’s AirPods are among the best-selling TWS earbuds on the market, boasting features like spatial audio, wear detection, and instant connection. However, they can be challenging to use on non-iOS devices due to AirPods adopting the name registered to their pairing device; luckily though there’s an easy way of changing this name; simply follow these steps below.

Renaming AirPods using the Settings app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac computer is simple. Simply make sure they’re connected before starting. To rename them, navigate to the Bluetooth menu and click the i icon next to each AirPod revealing all currently connected devices; enter a new name for them, then tap “Done” when finished to save changes.

AirPods support multiple wireless technologies, making them compatible with various Bluetooth-enabled devices. This makes them a fantastic option for Android devices that may not offer features such as aptX Low Latency and Bluetooth Smart. However, before using AirPods with any Android device, you will first need to pair them with it; this process ensures both devices will connect correctly.

Once your AirPods are paired, you can set up a passcode to protect both audio and data. Your passcode can include letters, numbers, and characters – be sure to write it down just in case your phone becomes misplaced; that way you’ll still have access to music and other files even without it!

The naming feature can be beneficial for those sharing headphones with multiple people, as it prevents people from mistaking your AirPods as their own and enables you to keep tabs on them in an active setting, such as when working out.

Renaming AirPods may not be essential, but it can certainly come in handy in certain instances. Not to mention that being able to name Bluetooth devices allows for endless creativity!
