Gymnastics Capital – Register Online For Gymnastics Classes

Gymnastics is an individual or team sport that tests strength, flexibility, agility, balance, and agility. There are two primary forms of gymnastics: artistic and rhythmic.

At this level, students are introduced to essential equipment and skills. They will learn to perform various rolls, tripods, and body positions.

About Us

Gymnastics requires coordination, precise body control, strength, and grace. Gymnastics has been practiced since ancient Greek times. It remains one of the most beloved activities today, with children as young as two or three participating purely for fun or going on to become professional athletes themselves. Gymnastics remains a rare sport that inspires children today; American icons Bart Conner, Kurt Thomas, and Mary Lou Retton continue their legacy, while 2015 US ‘Fierce Five’ like Simone Biles continues this legacy.

Capital Gymnastics is a nonstock, nonprofit corporation established to promote national and international gymnastic competitions. Classified as a 501(c)(3) entity by the IRS, Capital Gymnastics has received tax-exempt status. Still, it does not currently operate as a gymnastics facility and does not own any equipment – boasting approximately 240 member families as members of their club.

A fundraising club with an established history and success is now under scrutiny from the IRS for the legitimacy of its fundraising activities. They claim their primary function is fundraising, but the IRS questions whether this activity constitutes part of the organization’s core activities.

As a result, the club was forced to reduce its boys’ team and give its coaches 20% raises, hurting its bottom line as revenue will decrease by more than $200,000 annually – making it harder to maintain excellence and attract new students in the future years.

Capital Gymnastics is a fantastic gym with incredible coaches who genuinely love what they do, always making kids feel special and welcome while taking an enormously personal interest in them as individuals. Their attention to detail far surpasses competing gyms; therefore, I believe they offer excellent value for your money.

Registration

Registering their children online gives parents access to classes anytime and from any place at their convenience, on their own time, and from any device. Parents can set recurring payments for monthly gym dues, which helps streamline the process for families. Online forms also make managing class schedules and preventing overbooking easier by automatically sending notifications when someone registers for classes that exceed your equipment or staff capacities.

Online registration also allows collecting crucial data like student, family, and teacher waivers to protect your gymnastics club from liability issues. Furthermore, it will enable parents bringing children in for training to share what brought them in – helping you determine how best to allocate marketing dollars. Finally, this process streamlines itself for both you and your clients alike!

Lessons

Classes are divided according to age, physical ability, and skill level. These classes emphasize coordination, beginning strength training, flexibility positions, and safety rules before being introduced to basic gymnastics equipment skills. Progress towards proficiency on equipment can be tracked via “tips” added onto white belts as each new skill is acquired – providing a fun, self-confident learning environment.

These classes offer fantastic fundamental training to build excellent coordination, strength, flexibility, body awareness, air comprehension, and discipline – essential tools for any movement-based sport or activity children pursue. Furthermore, this class is an excellent foundation for future competitive team gymnastics competitions.

Our pre-competitive programs divide students according to age, physical abilities, and skill level. Courses focus on developing strength, flexibility, and self-confidence and teaching advanced skills like cartwheels and round-offs on the floor, as well as jumps and handstands on beams and tumbling – some of the higher difficulty areas found here. Students must be both emotionally and physically prepared before entering this level.

Team

Gymnastics Capital’s Team at Gymnastics Capital program offers young athletes with natural talent and an enthusiastic drive an ideal environment for developing as competitive athletes. Students progress through structured progressions designed to give each student the best chance at reaching the highest levels of the sport – this commitment exceeds both recreational and XCEL programs. Also, it necessitates more significant financial investment along with stricter requirements.

The pre-team program is the gateway into competitive gymnastics for girls who show both desire and potential to advance into our girl’s competitive program. Girls master early routines while starting to adapt to more intensive training schedules – this group practices 6 hours every week (two sessions of three hours).

Samantha Burd, Melanie Faulkner, Madeline Frazier, Olivia Miles, and Summer Penzi are joining Ocean Tumblers Gymnastics’s women’s team as freshmen this year. All four gymnasts were former competitive gymnasts at Ocean Tumblers Gymnastics Developmental program, where they won multiple state championships across vault, bars, and beam. In addition, all are national qualifiers. In the 2018-19 season, they finished third nationally in rank, advancing them toward the 2023 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships!

Shea is a Nationwide Children’s Hospital registered nurse with CPR, first aid, and safety certifications. For over 20 years, she coached recreational and competitive gymnastics for recreational and competitive gymnasts at all levels – recreational gymnastics while competitive being both the YMCA National Qualifier and USAG National Qualifier level gymnastics competition. McCord Perry Middle School and Kilbourne High School have hired Shea as their coach in Worthington Schools.

Capital City Flips offers families an excellent introduction to competitive gymnastics for boys and girls of all ages. Their facility specializes in trampoline and tumbling gymnastics for boys and girls at both Junior Olympic (JO) levels 1-10; popular events at this age include synchronized trampoline and double mini-trampoline tumbling events.
